 What is a Health Coach?  

A health coach is a supportive part of your medical paradigm.  We do not diagnose clients, label them, or tell them what we think they should be doing with their life or particular situation.  A health coach views you perfect just as you are.  We don't suggest "fixes." We meet you where you are and hold space for you as you share what you would like to change, or organize, or sort through or achieve, or let go of.  

A Health & wellness coach partners a with client, or group, who are  interested in enhancing their well-being through self-directed lasting changes, aligned with their core values. In the course of their work, health & wellness coaches display unconditional positive regard for their clients and a belief in their ability to change, honoring the fact that each client is an expert on their own life while ensuring that all interactions are respectful and non-judgmental.

Health & wellness coaches are trained in behavior change theories, motivational strategies, and health education and promotion theories. They support clients in activating internal strengths and external resources to make sustainable and healthy lifestyle behavior changes. Health coaches use a client-centered approach wherein clients decide their goals, engage in self-discovery or active learning processes, and self-monitor behaviors to increase accountability, all within the context of an interpersonal relationship with a health coach.

Whatever goal the client sets, the health coach ensures that they are supported until the desired outcome is achieved. NBC-WHC credentialed  coaches display an unconditional support for their clients and have trained to the highest standards in the profession which means that they have the skills and knowledge to walk alongside you on your path to your healthiest self.
