What Is Pilates ~ The Pilates method of exercise focuses on the core, which is thought of as the "powerhouse" of your body. Your core is the area between your shoulders and  your pelvis (without your arms and legs) and encompasses all the muscles within this area.

The Benefits Of Pilates ~ Pilates focuses on strengthening and lengthening your muscles at the same time. The end result is long, lean, strong overall muscle tone that doesn't create bulk.  A person can expect overall body control, improved flexibility and increased mobility. Pilates is a mind/body type of practice, and does help with stress reduction.
