At Leaping Lotus Studio, therapeutic movement is a can be used in a few ways.

It can be a  personalized movement plan structured to support your physical goals, while working with your limitations. This program is a unique combination of Yoga, Pilates, Strength Training and Corrective Exercise techniques designed specifically for you. It is vital to understand proper form and technique, while receiving guidance and encouragement. Therapeutic movement is great for anyone of all ages, shapes and sizes. It can be a part of your personal self-care routine to keep your body healthy, or to work on a personal body goal. 

Therapeutic Movement can also be used in conjunction with counseling

What Is Pilates?

The Pilates method of exercise focuses on the core, which is thought of as the "powerhouse" of your body. Your core is the area between your shoulders and  your pelvis (without your arms and legs) and encompasses all the muscles within this area.

All Pilates Matwork is based on my education and credentials from The Physical Mind Institute.

What are The Benefits Of Pilates?

Pilates focuses on strengthening and lengthening your muscles at the same time. The end result is long, lean, strong overall muscle tone that doesn't create bulk. A person can expect overall body control, improved flexibility and increased mobility. Pilates is a mind/body type of practice, and does help with stress reduction.
