My Story:
I have over 20 years of experience in health and wellness, weaving together Eastern and Western practices. My journey began with a personal injury at a young age, which conventional medicine couldn't heal. This led me down a path in search of answers to my health questions. My search led me into a yoga class, where I started to not only feel better, but have fun. An auspicious encounter led me to sign up for a Yoga Teacher Training program, where I came across the book, Structural Yoga Therapy, by Mukunda Stiles. This was the catalyst to a 12 year personal mentorship with Mukunda, as well as deep immersions into Structural Yoga Therapy, Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy and Tantra. Simultaneously, during these years, I was working in the medical fitness world, as a hospital fitness director, where I was exposed to clients with incredibly complex conditions. These two completely different paths were running within me at the same time. My mentorship with Mukunda continued onward with Chinnamasta. These worlds were a drastic contrast to my medical fitness world. I refer to these years, as my spiritual bootcamp. In 2015 Chinnamasta gave me the name Leelah in Ganeshpuri, India, and in 2024, the name Lakshmi, both marking my deep connection to the lineage and to the sacred teachings. Today, as an Ayurvedic Practitioner, Structural Yoga Therapist, E-RYT 500 and founder of Leaping Lotus Wellness Studio, I bring an integrated approach that helps others reconnect to their true nature and understand themselves on every level-physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. My two paths have formed a fusion of integrated wellness for everyone. My passion is to empower her clients to find their innate desire for balance and lasting lifestyle change.
I believe that Lifestyle medicine is the future of healthcare.
Health is far greater than just the alleviation of symptoms.
I provide Integrative care, by bridging Eastern and Western modalities, tailored to Western lifestyles. Experience clinically mindful programs, which allow your body to do what it was designed to do.
