1/2 teaspoon of coriander seeds
1/4 teaspoon of cumin seeds
1/2 teaspoon of fennel seeds
6 cups of water
Put the seeds and water together in a large pot and bring to a boil. Once it's boiling, reduce to low heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
Strain the tea with a strainer and throw away the seeds.
Pour the tea into a thermos and sip it throughout the day. This tea must be consumed warm to hot in order to be effective. Do not refrigerate. This is something you can drink all day long to help the body reset.
This is a conservative seed to water ratio. You can adjust it to your liking without adding too much. Remember in Ayurveda like increases like, so too much of anything becomes not good anymore.
CCF is short for Coriander, Cumin and Fennel. This is a staple Ayurvedic tea, which helps with digestion, assimilation and cleansing. Coriander helps stabilize digestion and helps balance Pitta dosha. Cumin is heating which helps balance Vata dosha. Fennel is sweetly pacifying to both Vata and Pitta. Kapha dosha does great with these spices, making this tea perfect for all doshas.
This is a staple tea so we can add additional seeds depending on what your body needs.
