Yoga Therapeutics in a Group Class

Designed for people with a broad spectrum of needs; from healthy bodies, to those with movement restrictions, injuries, or health challenges. A Therapeutics class includes anatomy, biomechanics of movement, breathwork, meditation and ayurvedic principles. This translates to a way of teaching that invites each body to find its own optimal way of moving and building strength, without the use of many props or hands-on corrections. This encourages self-awareness. In every class, each student will receive their own personalized pose adaptations that suit their physical body. To host a one-time, or on-going group therapeutics class, please book a call, or fill out the contact form below.

Why Yoga and What are the Benefits?

Yoga originated in India. It's original purpose was to help the body build strength and stamina so one can can sit in meditation for long periods of time. The word Yoga means, "To Unite."  The goal of yoga is to  help connect the body with the mind, and ultimately, the self.  The physical benefits are increased strength, mobility, balance, proprioception, and body awareness.  Through yoga, the body learns to adapt to physical limitations while finding strength and serenity.

Yoga is a wonderful way to reduce stress and restore the nervous system.
