Yoga And The MIND Series ~ Wednesday January 28th.
Hi Everyone,
As many of you know, I've been thinking about ways to evolve our Yoga And The MIND series.
WHAT IS Yoga And The MIND?
The subtitle for this program is - Merging the Mind with the Heart.
There's so many layers to this topic. It's ENDLESS!
For starters, on the physical level we know that the connection with the heart and the brain is a two-way street. We talk about how the nervous system works with the brain and the heart. It helps to understand the mechanics of how we are WIRED.
We also know, WHAT THE BRAIN THINKS THE BODY DOES!
On a deeper level, the heart is our true place of truth, peace, wisdom and trust. The brain is a magnificent part of our human body, but it is not the place where we find truth, peace, wisdom or trust. However, we also need to remind ourselves that our brains are not the enemy. We just have to learn that brain doesn't get to call the shots.
SO, WHAT DO WE DO WITH AN UNRULY BRAIN?
We talk to it! We slowly let it know that without the trusted partnership of the heart the brain will run on endlessly.
This is the ROOT of HOLISTIC HEALTH.
YAM is a deeply educational program, integrating all facets of this topic, and it it multi-faceted for sure!
Our January Yoga And The MIND will be 1 hour. This is to help pace ourselves so that we have space process what we are learning. I will have self-reflection questions for everyone at the end of the program. This is for each person to do on their own. Don't worry, you don't have to share your answers with anyone. We all LOVE class participation! It keeps it light and fun!!
