Healing Holiday ~ Ayurveda Wellbeing Retreat

Healing Holiday ~ Ayurveda Wellbeing Retreat

Something really incredible has just opened up!

A few years ago, sometime during COVID, or just post, I was asked to host Yogi Shivan on a virtual program.  I hosted him a few times.  Through that, I made some amazing connections.

This brings me to share an incredible opportunity with all of you.

I've been invited to offer an Ayurvedic Wellness Retreat, where Yogi Shivan resides.  The retreat will be held at Indimasi Ayurvedic Healing Village in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India.  It is nestled in a suburb of Trivandrum City.

RETREAT TITLE: HEALING HOLIDAY ~ AYURVEDA WELLNESS RETREAT.

DATES: February 7-21, 2026

A 14 day Healing Holiday

A BIT ABOUT INDIMASI:

Indimasi healing village is an NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare) certified Ayurveda and Siddha hospital established on the principle of leading a life of sharing and caring in co-existence with Mother Nature. The lush green campus has treatment facilities, residential villas and other amenities such as a swimming pool, an outdoor theatre, a meditation room, an organic restaurant, etc. Research facilities for Kalaripayattu, Ayurveda, yoga and traditional temple arts are also the highlight of Indimasi. As per the philosophy, food has great healing powers and a proper diet can significantly improve the quality of one’s life. That is the main reason for incorporating an organic farm and a dairy farm. We harvest organically grown fruits and vegetables which are available through our in-house yogic restaurant.  Indimasi is a self-sustaining village.

INDIMASI DAILY SCHEDULE:

Every morning from 6:30-8:30am Yogi Shivan teaches Yoga/Kalari/Meditation.  The order will vary but it will be this combination offered to all guests, daily.  These practices are open and suitable for everyone, no experience needed. This is completely optional.  There are light food options available for at this time.

 8:30-10am kitchen serves breakfast.

12:30-2pm kitchen serves lunch.

4-5pm kitchen offers a light snack and tea

6:30-8pm kitchen serves dinner

A BIT ABOUT THE RETREAT:

This retreat is truly a unique blend of healing and holiday.

The grounds at Indimasi are lush and peaceful.  Perfect for restoring our nervous systems.  The rooms are all equipped with AC and hot water, and all the basic necessities. You will be very comfortable and well taken care of.

We will be receiving Ayurvedic treatments every day.

Upon arrival, each person has a private consultation with the doctor.  He will determine your treatment protocol and whatever herbal medicines you may need. He will also suggest what food is most healing for you during this time, and going forward. The doctor has a staff of 4-5 who are always available for questions or concerns about your treatments.  You will be able to touch base with one of the medical staff daily, or as needed.

There is also a Gynecologist available, should anyone need this service.  They have ayurvedic medications to ease menopause and other hormonal symptoms.

The food is vegetarian, nourishing and delicious.

There will be a simple educational program, where I will go into more detail about Ayurveda, the doshas, and the treatments. We will explore topics within Yoga, Ayurveda and Tantra. This portion of the program will be concise, yet informative.

The treatments do require that we slow down and rest.  Go for a swim, read, journal, walk in nature.  This is all part of the restoration.

I will be available for 1 to 1 private sessions throughout the entire retreat.

During the retreat we have a few events planned.

On our first day there, we will walk to a nearby temple where we will have a private puja done for us.  A Puja is a special ritual done to clear any negative energy and bring us blessings.  It's really beautiful to watch.

We have an evening where Indian Classical dancers preform for us.

We experience Indian Cultural Music.

We will take walks through the village.

On our last night we have a celebration.  The staff brings all the ladies sari's and helps us get into them.  The men have the opportunity to dress in classical Indian attire as well.  It's a really fun time!

There are also a few options for excursions:

Excursions are not included in the price, because they are all optional.  Guests, can stay at Indimasi and rest, if they choose.

The one Excusion that I highly recommend is a trip to Kanniyakumari.  This is the southern most point of India.  It's an incredible experience. This is an 8 hour trip, done on our last day.  We leave very early in the morning to arrive there by sunrise.  We take a ferry ride to visit the Vivekananda Temple, and Devi Temple. They will have water and snacks for us on the bus.  We also stop for breakfast.  We will be back in the afternoon for treatments.  This is an additional $65 for everything.

OTHER EXCUSION POSSIBILITES INCLUDE:

- A local arts & crafts village, where we can shop from local crafters.

- The beach.

- A shopping Trip

- A trip to Trivandrum

-Visit with elephants

Excursions can be arranged once we are there, so no one has to feel any pressure to commit ahead of time.  The most expensive excursion is the 8 hour trip.  The other's are less.  For example, if you wanted to arrange a car to the beach, it's $20 and passengers can share.

One thing that I want to express is, more is not better.  There is so much happening already with treatments, teaching, and the daily schedule, not a lot is needed.

Again, the treatments do require rest.

As a last treatment, guests have the option to get a 'beauty treatment' (included in price).  It is a two hour treatment with a whole body fruit mask, and rice bath.  It is luxurious.

RETREAT ITINERARY:

Our retreat Itinerary will flow into the daily schedule that is already offered at Indimasi.  It will vary a bit each day, depending on the treatment schedule, and what activities are taking place.  The treatment schedule will dictate our Itinerary.

Treatments will probably start around 7am.  The staff will make the treatment schedule every day.

Retreat guests are welcome to join the morning practices that are offered.

We will meet in the Yoga Hall from 8:30-9am each morning.  We will do a short practice to bring us together as a group and to bring us into the day.

It's important for us to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a group.  Our meal times will coincide with the kitchen times.  Outside  of our meal times, feel free to ask the kitchen for anything that you need like tea, or fruit.

We will close each day with a brief reflection.

FLIGHTS:

We will fly into Trivandrum/Thiruvananthapuram (TRV).

All of our transfers are included in our retreat package.  Pick up and drop off arrangements will also be taken care of by the staff.

Indimasi is about 35-45 minutes from the airport.  We will be picked up in an air-conditioned car.

An E-visa is required to travel to India.  This is an online process, which I can help with.  It's not hard, but the website can be a bit tricky to navigate.  The cost of the visa is about $25.

I am happy to organize a travel group so that people can travel together!

COST:

$3,100 includes your stay for a single room,  airport transfers, all treatments, all food, all medicines given during the retreat, all activities that take place at Indimasi, and all my services.  This covers the entire retreat for 14 days.

**NOTE….14 days of treatment is optimal. This is what's recommended by the Dr. on staff. However, we understand that not everyone is able to take that much time away from life. If that's the case, please reach out and we can accommodate you.

WHATS NOT INCLUDED:

Flights

Visa

Tips

Spending money

Excursions

A NOTE ABOUT TIPS:

I will collect 2 tip envelopes at the end of the retreat.  1 for the therapists, and 1 for the other staff (housekeeping, cooks, ground keepers).  Tips in India are different than in the West.  A minimum of $20 for each envelop is adequate.  You can give more, but not less.

If you have never been to India, this is the perfect place to start.  Everything is arranged for you and the location is very suitable for travelers from the West.
