What does this mean?
This could be interpreted in a thousand different ways.
I'd love to share how the Conscious Connection concept came about in LLWS.
I'm going to take you on a journey with me, so come aboard on a playful ride of connecting the dots. Together, we are building a Conscious Connection Community.
First lets begin with understanding what the words Conscious and Consciousness even mean. The word Conscious is an adjective used to describe a state.
Consciousness is the noun form of the word.
Conscious is a descriptive word for being AWAKE, being AWARE, and being INTENTIONAL about one's actions. When we are conscious, we are breathing, we are perceiving and noticing our environment, and we understand that we are in the driver's seat of our actions. Here's an example, "She made a conscious decision to change her life."
Consciousness is the state of BEING. It is the STATE of being awake, alive, aware of your internal thoughts and experiences, as they relate to the external world. Understanding consciousness remains one of the greatest mysteries of science and philosophy, from both the eastern and western perspective.
What does the word Connection mean?
Well, the most obvious understanding of it is two things coming together. This could be two pipes joining under your kitchen sink. It could be two wires coming together to increase your internet speed. It can be two people coming together in a mutual understanding. It can be a networking connection between humans, sharing similar ideas, sharing empathy, or even love. It could even be a travel connection, connecting flights. You get the idea...💡
So let's put this together. Conscious Connection is a connection made through deep intention of being present, rather than on autopilot. A Conscious Connection Community is built on active awareness within ourselves and with others. It requires honesty and the ability to share openly within the safe space created. There's a deep desire to understand all the various perspectives presented, without judgment. The common thread in this Community is the deep desire for HUMAN CONNECTION.
That is the link.
The wire.
The connecting pipe.
The bridge.
Enjoying the ride so far??? 🤸🏼
So how does this relate to the evolution of our CONSCIOUS CONNECTION program at LLWS??
We are about to find out....
So, we clearly understand how the words all PLAY a role in this conscious creation.
Now, let's look at the next piece of this puzzle.
In the most simplest context:
The goal of YOGA is self-realization.
The goal of AYURVEDA is self-health.
The goal of TANTRA is self-love.
Now let's look at the Conscious Connection within each modality.
The word YOGA means "To Yoke" or "To Unite." In Yoga, we consciously connect our mind with our heart. In this merging, we become more focused and unified.
ONLY, through that unification we can begin to move in the direction of self-realization.
The word AYURVEDA means, "The Science of Life." Ayurvedic philosophy is based on the premise that everything in the universe is connected. The core principles of health require a deep understanding of the 5 elements and 3 doshas. The 5 elements within the universe are CONNECTED to the 5 elements within our bodies. The doshas are a unique combination of the 5 elements within each of us.
The word TANTRA in sanskrit means "To Weave." It is an ancient teaching of "Expansion." The focus is on expanding consciousness and transforming the everyday "Ordinary" into everyday "Extraordinary." Through the weaving of our internal energy with universal energy, we become closer to becoming "Free." Tantra is perceived in many ways.
There is a clear CONSCIOUS CONNECTION within each of these modalities.
YET, there's a bigger and deeper CONNECTION.
The CONNECTION between YOGA, AYURVEDA and TANTRA is the CONSCIOUS CONNECTION that can help us understand how to live a FULL, DEEPLY CONNECTED HUMAN LIFE.
A CONSCIOUS CONNECTION can also help us integrate:
Science with Spirituality
East with West
Masculine with Feminine
Finite with Infinite
Our CONSCIOUS CONNECTION COMMUNITY comes together in so many different programs. It comes alive through the connection of the 5 elements and the 5 senses.
Through the PLAY of the elements and the senses, we create meaningful COMMUNITY programs, workshops, retreats, in all ways and formats. These programs mold into all types of venues.
We connect through CREATIVITY
We connect through EXPRESSION
We connect through LEARNING
We connect through MOVEMENT
We connect through SHARING
We connect through SILENCE
We connect through SOUND
We connect through STUDIES
We connect through VIBRATIONS
We connect through VISUALIZATION
This is all FOOD. Everything we TAKE IN is FOOD. This is how we nourish our beings beyond just existing in a human body. This is how we nourish our SOULS.
This is also why we have be very CONSCIOUS of what we take in. Living a CONSCIOUS LIFE requires continual evaluation of what we allow into our lives. This requires us to stay AWAKE all the time.
The word UNCONSCIOUS typically means, "Lack of awareness." Living an UNCONSCIOUS life, is living without awareness of the self, others, or how we relate, and impact the world.
We all have UNCONSCIOUS parts within us. WE ABSOLUTELY DO! However, understanding and accepting those parts within us, is the first step to INTEGRATION.
Without INTEGRATION we are at risk of DISINTEGRATION.
This is the CONSCIOUS CONNECTION.
This is why we need a CONSCIOUS CONNECTION COMMUNITY.
This is why we chant WE ARE ONE IN LOVE!
LOVE is the thread the brings us to a state of CONSCIOUS CONNECTION.
WE ARE ONE IN LOVE
